Canadian NephroGenetics Consortium

About

The Canadian Nephrogenetics Consortium (CaNGen) is an association formed by Canada’s leading experts in the genetic architecture of kidney health. Founded in 2023, CaNGen is an interinstitutional effort involving members from over 12 Canadian research centres. CaNGen aims to provide world class, evidence-based education pertaining to key areas of knowledge within the field of nephrogenetics. By providing a space for networking, collaboration, and academic discourse, CaNGen aims to inspire informed clinical practices, as well as innovation and discovery within the research setting. Given CaNGen’s goal of growing the field of nephrogenetics, CaNGen welcomes any new members who wish to join the consortium. We encourage any allied health professionals, genetic counselors, trainees, and community and academic nephrologists with an interest in nephrogenetics to attend our meetings.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Canadian Nephrogenetics consortium is to promote leadership, encourage collaboration, inspire innovation, and share knowledge between Canadian nephrogeneticists with the purpose of advancing the field of nephrogenetics in Canada, within both the clinical and academic settings.
